PETstock is an Australian owned and operated company, built on humble beginnings in Ballarat Victoria, when the Young family took ownership of Ballarat Produce in 1991.

PETstock is unique in the way it was founded and remains as a family operated business. Brothers Shane (CEO) and David (General Manager) Young are actively involved in the day-to-day running of the business. A strong sense of family commitment is ingrained across every level of the PETstock team, extending to our customers and their pets.

In the development of the name, it was felt that 'PETstock' captured everything about the business in one short and easy to remember word. Today, while the focus of the business is more skewed toward catering for the lifetime needs of pets, the word 'PETstock' still encompasses the wide range of products across all animal categories. It also links back to the company's modest start as Ballarat Produce, operating from a tin warehouse in Ballarat.

The PETstock franchise was inaugurated in 2002 with 11 stores across Victoria and New South Wales. Since then, the organisation has grown to 70+ stores and 700+ employees Australia wide.
