Dog Washing & Grooming Tips

Most dogs benefit from a wash approximately every two weeks. However, as all dogs are different, we have a few tips to help you determine how often you should bathe or groom your pooch.

What sort of breed is your dog?

We have some breed-specific advice from our Groomers below. If your dog's breed isn't listed, or you're unsure, reach out to our team in-store or call 13 PETS and our friendly team will be able to assist.

NOTE: The information provided above is to be used as a guide only.

Please remember:

Washing too often removes essential oils from your dog’s skin, resulting in itchy, dry skin and brittle hair. Always use a pet specific neutral PH cleaner - preferably a soap-free moisturising shampoo as human shampoo is far too harsh.
