About petstock vet

Our Animal Hospitals are dedicated to providing your pets with the best veterinary care possible in a caring and friendly environment.

Our Animal Hospitals operate within your local PETstock store, so you have the convenience of having everything in one place each time you visit - including grooming, hydrobath, puppy school and lots of shopping!

Our Facilities

Our hospitals are brand new, purpose built and designed to keep pets comfortable and happy during their time with us. We have separate dog and cat wards, to give them peace and quiet whilst they are resting. Every patient is provided with warm fluffy bedding and blankets to keep them warm, litter trays, food and water where appropriate. The hospitals are air conditioned or heated to maintain a comfortable temperature and air is circulated to keep it fresh. We have the latest in x-ray, dental and in house blood testing equipment. Feel free to ask your PETstock VET nurse for a tour of the hospital, we would love to show you around!

Our Staff

Our hospitals are staffed with experienced veterinarians and veterinary nurses who genuinely care about their patients and their customers. We know that a visit to the vet can sometimes cause anxiety for your pet (especially when they may already not be feeling well) so we work hard to help them feel calm and comfortable during their examination. We strive to provide every customer with excellent service at each and every visit, so that you and your pet go home with a smile.

Our Head Office Team

PETstock VET Head Office is staffed entirely with vets and vet nurses.

Dr Sasha Nefedova BVSc GradCertBus - PETstock VET General Manager

Dr Sasha Nefedova joined the team in August 2016 following several years at the University of Melbourne developing their veterinary CPD programs. She has worked as an emergency clinician in the UK and Animal Accident and Emergency Centre in Melbourne. Her clinical interests include animal behaviour, endocrinology and wound management. She no longer practices clinical medicine and has a strong interest in business strategy and leadership.

Dr Bronwen Slack BVSc – Veterinary Operations Manager

Bronwen is a practicing veterinarian with a special interest in ophthalmology. As operations manager, her goal is to ensure that each of our veterinarians have the support, skills and tools required to deliver excellent patient care every day. Bronwen has a beautiful adopted cat named Meep, who loves to hang out at head office and sleep on everyone’s seats.

Ms Jessica Donohue – Veterinary Operations Coordinator

Jess joined the Head Office team in May 2016 after managing at the Altona North hospital for two years. Jess started her career in sunny far north Queensland, nursing in general practice before moving to Melbourne. She has a special interest in crocodiles and shares her home with a cheeky Pug, Maggie.

Dr Rod Sharpin, BVSc Bsc MRCVS – PETstock VET Business Development Manager

Rod helped found PETstock Vet in 2007, bringing veterinary care into the PETstock family. He is now responsible for growing the PETstock Vet group by co-ordinating the design and building of new practices as well as selecting vet partners. Rod has a wonderful old boxer at home called Sachi, who has been part of the family for many years.
