The Danio is probably the perfect aquarium fish for a beginner. It is always on the move, adding action and colour to the aquarium. They are hardy and undemanding with regards to both food and water quality. Max Size: 5cm

Feeding

Danios are omnivorous and will thrive on any aquarium food. They are not fussy at all, and feed ferociously at the top of tank. A good floating flake or crumble such as Tetra Crisps and TetraMin are ideal. To ensure that they have a completely balanced diet, add Aquarium Industries Frozen Brine Shrimp or Tropical Mix. Danios are almost always the first fish in a community tank to attack the food. Keep this in mind when you are feeding community tanks.

Compatibility

Danios are amongst the most peaceful of all fish. Although they will always chase each other around the tank and nip, they will never harm or take chunks out of each other. They are a very active fish, and swim vigorously around the tank all the time.
