It works best with Tetras, Discus, and Angelfish, and contains electrolytes to reduce fish stress. It may be used when setting up an aquarium, or when changing water. API PROPER pH products are pH buffers. They set the pH of aquarium water at a particular level, and also function as a dechlorinator.
