This festive season, support The Petstock Foundation's More Than a Gift campaign and give something that lasts beyond Christmas.
We are on a mission to raise $230,000 to help Smart Pups and Assistance Dogs Australia continue their life-changing work. Together, these organisations have placed and supported more than 1,000 highly trained assistance dogs, helping Australians with disability experience greater independence, confidence, inclusion and connection.

Real People. Real Impact.
Behind every assistance dog is a story of greater confidence, connection and independence.
Here’s what that support can mean for the people and families at the heart of this year’s campaign.
2026 Christmas Project - Assistance Dogs Australia
“He’s definitely more independent; he can do things without always having someone to guide him. When Xena’s with him, I feel like he’s more confident in himself. I can’t really imagine what it would be like without Xena.”
– Sister of an Assistance Dogs Australia recipient
2026 Christmas Project - Smart Pups
“Going out was once so hard to do, but with Bella by my son’s side, it’s getting much easier. We’ve found that just her presence alone has really changed him, and he can regulate himself a lot quicker. The bond they have already brings tears to our eyes. We can now go out together as a family without the fear and the worry.”
– Parent of a Smart Pups recipient

Smart Pups
Smart Pups Assistance Dogs trains and places highly skilled assistance dogs with children across Australia living with autism, epilepsy and medical needs. These dogs are trained to support safety, emotional wellbeing, confidence and greater independence for children and their families.

Assistance Dogs Australia
Assistance Dogs Australia breeds, trains and places internationally accredited Assistance Dogs with people with physical disability, complex autism and severe PTSD, alongside support programs in educational and facility settings. Supporting more than 180 clients across Australia, their work creates greater independence, confidence, connection and inclusion for clients and communities.

An assistance dog can offer much more than practical support. The right partnership can help someone move through everyday life with greater confidence and safety, take part more fully in their community and experience greater independence.
That’s what More Than a Gift is all about. By supporting the Petstock Foundation this festive season, you’re helping our campaign partners create connections that can make a lasting difference.
