Jo

Practice Manager

Since I was a child, my dream was to help animals. I started my wonderful fulfilling Veterinary Nursing career in 2000 at Gladesville Veterinary Hospital, where I worked as the Head Nurse/ Hospital Manager. After completing Certificate IV Vet Nursing in 2006, I have also done numerous courses in companion animal & wildlife, including reptile care.

My career has given me experience in all aspects of general nursing as well as chemotherapy, nuclear medicine, grooming, rehabilitation for injured turtles, and hand raising many kittens. In November 2020, I joined the Petstock Vet Dural team and have been enjoying meeting all the fur babies with their pet parents. It’s been a privilege to be able to look after and assist like-minded people and their pets – Pets are Family.

Dr Carrie

Dr Carrie

Veterinarian

Carrie has worked in small animal veterinary clinics for over 10 years, starting as a veterinary nurse before graduating from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Veterinary Biology/Doctor of Veterinary medicine degree in 2019. Since then, Carrie has been working full time in general practice and enjoys the variety of cases she has exposure to. Carrie has an interest in dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery but is always keen to learn and expand her knowledge and skillset. She has a soft spot for geriatric pets, particularly as she has been a dog mum to a geriatric herself and believes that older patients often need supplementary care as they age. Outside of work Carrie likes to stay active and can be found spending time either at the gym or in a pilates studio. She is currently studying towards becoming board certified in North America.

Anita has been a vet nurse for over 20 years, after starting out in small animal practice in North Ryde. She then moved to Adelaide for 2 years, and back to Sydney where she worked at a specialist referral hospital as an Emergency & Critical Care nurse. As well, she has Grug the Pug, Batman the Black Cat, mini Max the Chihuahua, as well as a home zoo with turtles, birds, fish, frogs & pet rats.

Kate

Veterinary Nurse

I have been working in the vet industry for over 18 years but I still love seeing the exciting life journeys of the clients with their beloved furry family members (pets, not kids!). It’s often a rollercoaster - from the highs to the lows; watching them grow, learn, love, and crying tears of happiness or loss.

I’m a busy mother to 3 school-aged children so don’t have time for a pet, although I am a cat-lover at heart. However, if I had more spare time, I’d definitely be the crazy cat lady & have a houseful of rescued feline fuzzballs. At the moment though, I’m blessed to live locally and have an abundance of native wildlife at my back doorstep

Receptionist
I have grown up owning all sorts of animals, from dogs, to birds, to reptiles. I have always wanted to work in the animal industry and started off working in the retail side, but I knew I could expand my knowledge and help more animals working on the Veterinary side. Since joining the team, I have learnt so much more about animals and their care and it brings me joy knowing that I am part of a team who loves and cares for animals as much as I do, as well as seeing the impact we have on clients and their fur-babies. I am a Fur-Mum myself to 4 dogs, Axel, Diesel, Nyla and Bindi, as well as 2 cats, Cecil and Ella. In the future I would love to expand my career to the behavioural and training aspect.
