Charlie's Wish - Granted 2025
Charlie is 14 years old, living with Muscular Dystrophy and has always dreamed of having a dog of his own. He wished for an Aussiedoodle puppy to keep him company and train as a therapy dog. Through our partnership with Make-A-Wish, his wish recently came true as he received his new companion, Teddy. Charlie is over the moon with his new best friend, and Teddy is settling in well to his new home.
Ciara's Wish - Granted 2025
Ciara’s memories of being treated in the hospital for Hodgkin lymphoma have been replaced by new memories of joy with a white puppy named Oakley. Ciara’s wish for a golden retriever came true early in 2025. ‘It was pretty much love at first sight,’ Ciara said. ‘As soon as she was given to me, I’m like ‘I’m not leaving her at all’. ‘It was just happiness, like I’ve never really felt before.’ Mum Jamie has noticed her daughter’s confidence improve since Oakley arrived. ‘Without the dog I'm not sure we'd have this happy little girl we do.’
Kit's Wish - Granted 2025
Puppy Max has been the perfect fit for Wish kid Kit. Kit underwent treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and has always yearned for a dog to be his friend. Through our partnership with Make-A-Wish, Kit’s wish was granted and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Max is now an integral part of Kit’s family. Kit’s mum Hannah said the puppy had been on many road trips with Kit as they visited family. Next on Kit’s to-do list is to take Max camping and toast marshmallows at a campfire. ‘Kit absolutely enjoys Max being around. He is very loved,’ Hannah said.
Sophia's Wish - Granted 2025
It was love at first sight when Sophia met puppy Lola. Lola the toy cavoodle has rarely left Sophia’s side since the day she arrived just over six months ago. On that unforgettable day Sophia, who lives with cystic fibrosis, was crying happy tears when she went outside to see Lola arrive in a van. Lola has grown a lot since she arrived and is adored by not just Sophia but everyone in her family.
Fletcher's Wish - Granted 2025
It took Fletcher no time to nominate what his Make-A-Wish wish would be. He had always wanted a golden retriever and even had a name in mind: Mintie. The 7-year-old boy, who was diagnosed with a tumour, now fills his days having fun with Mintie. Mum Sarah said Fletcher and Mintie have a special bond. ‘Mintie is such a sweetheart and has settled in beautifully,’ Sarah said.
Ziggi's Wish - Granted 2025
There’s one thing Ziggi loves more than playing in his pirate ship playground. And that’s hanging with his new friend Titan. Titan is a Brussels Griffon puppy, a unique breed that Ziggi first saw on Instagram. Ziggi, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, thought the oddlooking dog was perfect for him. Ziggi’s parents told him he had to be patient, but he would eventually get a Brussels Griffon puppy. Enter Make-A-Wish, who made Ziggi’s wish come true. Titan has not only brought happiness to Ziggi’s family, according to mum Ariana. ‘He’s everyone’s best friend! He’s so popular wherever we go,’ she said.
Evie's Wish - Granted 2025
Living with a genetic condition that can cause serious organ damage, Evie has had a challenging start to her young life. But the 12-year-old’s spirits were lifted recently through our partnership with Make-A-Wish, who granted Evie’s wish for a puppy. Evie wanted a puppy to call her very own, and to keep her company and cuddle. Evie and her new best friend Archie, a Cobber breed puppy, have grown close in a few short months. The lovable Archie’s only bad habit is chewing Evie’s school shoes and mum Natasha’s shoes. ‘Apart from chewing shoes, he enjoys walks, playing ball and sleeping at anyone’s feet,’ Natasha said. ‘He has learnt to sit, drop and shake hands. He is a very much-loved puppy.’
Isla's Wish
In July 2023, Isla’s dreams came true when she met her new best friend, Daisy — an orange, curly-haired puppy she wished for when she was six years old.
Isla, who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at just 3 years old, imagined her puppy would be the start of a new chapter for her family, and Daisy has become exactly that.
On Daisy’s first night home, Isla was so excited she slept on the floor beside her crate, not wanting to leave her side. Known for her love of animals, arts, dancing, rainbows and crafts, Isla is an outgoing and vibrant seven-year-old who finds joy in making others happy.
As Isla’s mum Pamela shared, 'Daisy really has been the marker for treatment ending and our new family life beginning'.
